Statement on Mental Health Accessibility for LGBTQIA Community
Since its inception in 2011, Being has committed to being inclusive and accessible to all; believing mental health is not only the cornerstone of a good life, but a human right. We believe regardless of your gender or sexuality, access to quality mental health services that are supportive, caring, and evidence-based is your right.
Our goal at Being is to create a respectful and therapeutic space which welcomes gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity and helps to remove barriers to mental health services. Being is aware that a person’s identity and expression can uniquely intersect with their mental health experience and strives to offer care that is person-centered and trauma-informed. Being is committed to offering safe, accessible, and equitable mental health support to people within the LGBTQIA+ community.
