Samra Ali

Curiosity brought me into this field, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. I always wanted to work in the medical field, just never exactly knew what it was, so I did my research and stumbled upon massage, and that’s when I knew that this was the career path for me. Not only are my hands a tool to help someone else, but I also get to see the progress in their health. Working as a massage therapist has been a fantastic experience for me. I’ve learned so much about the human anatomy and its functions, which help me better understand what massage techniques work best for each client.

My focus is mainly on clinical work. I like to focus on trigger point therapy, deep tissue and craniosacral therapy, and aromatherapy. I am also certified in relaxation therapy, a non-focused massage where the client wants to loosen up and rejuvenate the muscles.

My approach to massage is bringing awareness to the human body and making sure one’s mind and body are on the same page. Muscle tension reflects stress; our muscles become tense to protect themselves from injury or pain. I am huge on bringing awareness in
understanding that mental stress can become physical stress. Our muscles need as much attention as possible, and I feel as a massage therapist, it is my job to help my clients raise awareness of our body and find what’s best for them to prevent muscle tension.
