Jessica Faruq
LPCC, Therapist
During her 20+ year career, I have focused on working with clients and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, autism, and ADHD. I seek to empower my clients by identifying obstacles, barriers, and patterns of behavior in order to create permanent and positive changes. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that can lead towards lasting healing, growth, and fulfillment. I use an integrative, holistic approach to meet the needs of each individual client and family. Just as importantly, I believe that my personal experience as a woman of color and a member of a Muslim family help provide a level of cultural competency which helps support my clients’ needs by providing a safe and supportive space specifically for people identifying as BIPOC, immigrant, refugee, and LBGTQ.

“I work with a Body Psychotherapy foundation, an approach called Somatic Experiencing. This means I work with the whole you: your thoughts, emotions, body, and spirit. This holistic approach is evidence-based and rooted in a scientific theory that considers the fight-flight-freeze complex in a living, breathing body.”
