My therapeutic approach is warm, curious, and collaborative. I highly value connection and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. I hope to create space for folks to reflect, process, and increase awareness while offering support and skills. My goal is to assist folks in learning new ways of relating to themselves, others, and the world in an effort to feel better, healthier, and happier.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. I have a particular interest in working with folks who have experienced religious trauma or adverse religious experiences and/or undergoing faith deconstruction.
I have a master’s degree in educational psychology with an emphasis in counseling and student personnel psychology from the University of Minnesota. I completed a level one certificate in narrative therapy from the Caspersen Therapy and Training Center. I most often use narrative therapy along with cognitive behavioral techniques in my practice.
