Dara Denton LPCC, Therapist

As a therapist, my goal is to empower clients to build fulfilling, values-rich lives.  I work with individuals and couples striving to improve themselves and their relationships.  I offer support for those struggling with interpersonal connections, anxiety, and depression.  I help bring awareness to how trauma, past experiences, and previous relationships can influence our current functioning.

We will work together to develop insight, identify personal values, and implement skills that will foster growth.  I use ACT, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness and other skills based interventions to support learning, symptom management, and behavior change.  I approach therapy with directness and a sense of humor.

Over the years I have worked with clients of diverse backgrounds in a variety of settings, from private practice to prison systems.  This has included work with those who are motivated to be in therapy as well as individuals who were reluctant to trust the process.  I’ve learned much about the human experience — no one is immune to suffering.  Everyone experiences pain.  We are resilient and we are all deserving of happiness.  It is my privilege to help you find your happiness.
